Saving Energy on Office Building Floors

In multi storey office buildings, operating electronic or magnetic ballasts, the F.L.C energy saving controller will provide specifically energy savings on each floor to all the fluorescent lights with out any visible change to the lighting. These buildings have utility rooms on each floor where the lighting panels and electrical systems are kept. This unit is specifically designed to inter-phase directly with the lighting panel for the purpose of controlling the voltage output from the panel to all the lighting fixtures on each individual floor while providing energy savings from one source. No ballast changes are required. No fixtures need to be touched.

Operating System

The system can be programmed to start operating at 7:00 a.m. automatically (according to the user’s needs) and will immediately shift to energy saving mode, once lights have come to full warm up. No changes in the intensity of lighting will be felt. The P.L.C completely automatic program will control the all the lighting on a floor according to hours of operation as required by the user.  At the end of the work day, the FLC will turn the lights off according to the user, automatically or by a building management system.

The system works completely automatically. The following options may be added.

  • Motion sensor mounted at the exit point from the elevator or in offices to turn lights on for extra time required.
     
  • Night Lighting. P.L. (7w) bulbs can be added in office fixture so lights that are not available for turning off now can be to save energy and costs while still providing security lighting.
